INTRODUCTION

Speaking about pyramids and electronics in anticipation of an experiment in consciousness might seem inappropriate, yet, if you have the ability to relate diverse things and place them in their proper perspective in a mosaic a perfectly reasonable and useful image might come out so that the few introductory notes might just serve this purpose.

The most enigmatic structure which we know of may be the pyramid, which geometrically is defined as: a polyhedron having a polygonal base and triangular sides with a common vertex and we all know what a pyramid is from the legacy of those enormous structures left to us, in particular, from ancient Egypt.

What these pyramids are is still unclear even if, mostly because of what appear to be sarcophagi being placed inside them, they are taken to be sepulchral places of ancient kings and high priests but by now not all egyptologists do fully agree on this theory. Down-to-earth and wild theories have been put forth concerning the pyramids accompanied by either sound facts or mysterious events. What is baffling us is the reason beyond such gigantic structures as to their real purpose and the means to set them up without a proper technology such as we have.

In electronics a cavity resonator is a metal enclosure, often shaped like a cylinder or rectangular prism which operate as tuned frequency at frequencies above 200 MHz (megahertz). Resonance is the condition in which the frequency of an applied signal coincides with a natural response frequency of a circuit or an object. In radio-frequency applications resonance is a circuit condition in which there are equal amounts of capacitive reactance and inductive reactance and, for resonance to be possible in a circuit, reactance must be non-zero . Tuning in a cavity resonator is usually achieved by means of a small metallic rod placed inside it and properly spaced so as to achieve the desired frequency.

If we unite four little triangles of brass or copper sheet so that they share a common vertex we have two things: a geometrical solid figure in the shape of a pyramid on one side and, on the other side, a cavity resonator with which we might like to experiment if we are keen of electronics. To play with this cavity resonator to achieve desired results we must place into it a small metallic element which will act as a tuner just like sarcophagi - if such they were intended to be - were placed into the Egyptian pyramids (and others: wiz. Nubia end elsewhere). Looking at the Egyptian pyramids like gargantuan cavity resonators, the purpose of their alignment and other pertinent matters is best left to people with a sound knowledge of physics and mathematics if anyone may be interested in such a theory. Some interesting results might be arrived at.

The most complex circuit we know of is neither made up of sandstone blocks like the ones making up the pyramids of Egypt nor some small metallic sheets employed to make a cavity resonator like the one hinted at above but, you might have guessed it, it is made up of the soft tissues of the brain and the brain is a complex electronic circuit which emits electromagnetic waves in the low frequency spectrum as we may see on a EEG (electro encephalographic) pattern on a plain sheet of paper: alpha (8-12 cycles per second), beta (12 cycles per second), delta (1-4cycles per second) and theta (4-7 cycles per second) which in medicine, neurology and in ERP (Event Related Potential) studies in psychophysiology are very significant since they give hints concerning not just our physical well being but also to the workings of our consciousness like in dreams, schizophrenia and altered states of mind.

Next we have that most baffling thing which has no color, no shape, no dimension which we call "self" and which, without going in a lengthy discourse concerning mind and matter will simply be defined as "an electrical charge acted upon by the experience-total of our life in a physical environment". We cannot see, touch or measure it but we sense it so long as we are conscious and an EEG does not produce flat lines instead of peaks and valleys.

Mental images have their own life, their own reality, their own energy. They spring from the experience-total of our life and its environment and, more often than not we are simply in a position of being unable to interpret them - but in a mysterious language which is referred to as the memory of the race, or archetypes, or seizures they speak to us all the time. On the other hand at times we are able, through what we call the power of imagination, to create more or less complex mental images at will.

Before going to the next section, less boring and possibly more revealing, try to see an eventual connection between the pyramid as a cavity resonator and the self as an autonomous charge and any possible interaction between the two within an imagery context.

Now you are not going for a trip to the Egyptian pyramids, that you might have well done it already and recalling it could be very pleasant and also useful in this contest. You are simply going in an imaginary scenery which you will purposefully paint into your mind where an electrical charge is put inside a cavity resonator.

This must be once more stated: There are unknown forces within the human temple, deep rooted in the unconscious, of which we are absolutely unaware. Tampering with the unknown may be greatly beneficial and, conversely, disruptive for the psyche. Before venturing in this little exercise be sure that you are physically and psychologically healthy.

The purpose of this experiment is to get in touch with your real self and derive benefits and insight thereof. In this respect it might not be different from Tantric Yoga with complex mandalas and yantras or other more or less abstruse meditation exercises. It value is in the extreme concise and simple technique, in the no-frills results and in the tangible results which you will benefit of.
