So far as I am concerned, I do firmly believe in an
approaching "End of the World", but it is a question of terminology
: there will be an end - no doubt - when the sun's heat, in a few
billion years will be exhausted and our beautiful planet will be a
dark, lifeless and parched globe of icy rocks. And yes, I do not
exclude that man's stupidity might speed it up to the extent that we
might see it in our lifetime, a last vision of the incomparable
glory of Homo sapiens sapiens buried in a Nuclear
Winter.
So far as I am concerned, I do firmly believe also in
Dajjal, the Antichrist, but this too is a matter of
terminology.
Dajjal, it is said, will appear riding on a monstrous
donkey : I take it as an euphemism where the monstrous donkey stands
for crass ignorance and stupidity. In which case I may with little
doubt state that Dajjal has been a long time amongst us and he is to
be found almost everywhere, leaders of men and world leaders riding
it, their braying reaching us from every
corner.
